GHGP Webinar: Harmonizing Global Carbon Accounting under the COP30 Action Agenda
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol have announced a strategic collaboration to advance the harmonization of global greenhouse gas accounting. Launched within the COP30 Presidency Action Agenda, the initiative aims to improve alignment, transparency, and interoperability across emissions accounting frameworks.
As the energy sector moves toward greater granularity and 24/7 carbon-free energy tracking, this collaboration is an important step toward ensuring better consistency between product-level standards and corporate GHG reporting worldwide.
On 20 February at 14:00 CET, representatives from the GHG Protocol and ISO will outline the scope and planned approach for this joint work, including insights into ongoing efforts to update product-level standards. The session will also explain how stakeholders can engage in the process, followed by a live Q&A.
