Response to Call for Evidence on Data Centers

20 April, 2026

EnergyTag has officially submitted our response to the European Commission to ensure the new data centre label drives real decarbonization and minimizes cost impacts. While the draft regulations make progress by requiring 15-minute matching within the same bidding zone, there are critical areas that must be addressed to genuinely drive decarbonization. It outlines policy amendments to remove  granular GO conditionality, align PPA criteria with granularity rules and replace the grid functions flag with a flexibility metric.

Tracer l’Électricité au Pas Horaire

13 November, 2024

Granular Electricity Accounting: Paving the Way for India’s Clean Energy Future

23 October, 2024

India’s heavy reliance on fossil fuels has raised its share of global energy-related carbon emissions, highlighting the urgency for renewable energy in its decarbonization efforts. Granular electricity accounting can help enable this through real-time clean energy matching which enhances transparency. While a new concept, it builds on existing policies in India like the 15-minute block settlement system, FDRE and G-TAM. Addressing challenges and opportunities is crucial for effective implementation of granular electricity accounting in India.
