EnergyTag is a mission-driven nonprofit founded in 2020 that works with the world’s leading organizations to build the next generation of clean electricity markets and carbon accounting standards to drive deep power sector decarbonization. To do this, we work with hundreds of stakeholders to develop technical standards for more transparent energy tracking using granular energy certificates which ensure demand is met with clean energy supply every hour.

We also work to advise governments around the world on various policy topics including: ensuring clean hydrogen standards incorporate cutting-edge technologies and methods to ensure environmental integrity, fighting for sustainable data center demand growth, and updating state energy policies to incorporate granular electricity accounting.

The enhancement of clean energy markets and carbon accounting is spearheaded by EnergyTag working with large consumers (e.g. Google, Microsoft) and governments around the world, and the benefits are demonstrated by robust empirical evidence (IEA, Princeton, MIT). It’s an exciting time to join this movement.

We are looking for a highly mission-driven candidate with deep knowledge of US energy markets and policy to support our work in the US. While this role will require some level of flexibility to engage on the most important topics at a given time, we are looking for a candidate to focus primarily on state-level US policy and market engagements in coordination with the EnergyTag Head of US Policy and Markets.

  • Support communications of EnergyTag’s events, engagements, and outreach.
  • Support team efforts to promote granular accounting in GHG Protocol Scope 2 and SBTi update and other international standards.
  • Work as a global team to move granular accounting forward across all geographies.
